When forming vacuum formed products, factors such as pulling lines, scratches, crystal dots, bubbles, and water ripples may occur.
Wire drawing: Some unnecessary line protrusions (not on the mold) generated during the vacuum forming production process need to be solved by modifying the mold (reducing height, increasing roundness) and adding additional pressure molds (which we call upper molds). When the cable is too large, it is considered a defective product and cannot be used for high-end vacuum packaging. But in the field of parts turnover pallets, as long as the wire arrangement is neat and does not affect the use function, it should be considered a qualified product. Pulling rope, also known as cramping, cramping, etc.
Scratches: Scratches are prone to occur on vacuum formed products, especially on transparent vacuum formed shells. If the scratches are too long or too large, the vacuum formed shell will become a defective product and cannot be used for high-end packaging.
Crystal point: During the production process of vacuum formed sheets, small dust particles in the air fall onto the heated plastic material, causing transparent defects. Especially in the production process of transparent vacuum formed sheets, if these defects are too large or excessive, they are considered defective products.
Bubbles: During the production process of vacuum formed sheets, due to the presence of air in the heated plastic material, the finished vacuum formed sheets will have bubbles. Especially in the production process of transparent vacuum formed sheets, if there are too many or too many bubbles, it is considered a defective product.
Water ripples: During the production process of vacuum formed sheets, water ripples may appear on the surface of the finished sheet due to differences in materials and processing techniques. Especially in the production process of transparent vacuum formed sheets, if the water ripples are too large or excessive, it is considered a defective product. Generally speaking, the thicker the sheet, the more pronounced the water ripples. Qualified PET materials rarely have water ripples, but most PVC materials will have water ripples.
